We have a thriving Junior section, well supported by a number of qualified coaches derived from senior players past and present, parents/carers and other volunteers operating under the ECB Safe Hands policy for the Safeguarding and Protection of Children.
We provide coaching for children from the age of six or seven upwards from the end of April to the end of July. As a large, family orientated club, we pride ourselves in providing high quality coaching where everyone feels included within a safe and friendly environment.
In 2023 we will be again running the ECB All Stars programme to help introduce children aged 7 and under to the game of cricket, along with under 9s, under 11s, under 13s, under 15s and under 18s. To compliment our junior cricket we also run a Sunday afternoon team in the Mid Yorkshire Sunday League which is an ideal environment for our juniors to learn how to play senior cricket - it's a friendly atmosphere of mixed ability cricket featuring cricketers of all ages. We also run 4 senior Saturday league sides along with an evening league side so there are plenty of opportunities for your children to progress with our club.
We achieved Clubmark accreditation in 2022 and will be working hard to ensure that we maintain this status for the foreseeable future.
